A city’s transportation card has a responsibility to both the tourist and the everyday public transport commuter. That responsibility is to introduce. To stimulate. To inspire. To uphold.

This atlas showcases and analyzes different transportation passes around the world.

To showcase this editorial, I chose to use traditional patterns as backgrounds for my mockups. In the past, embroidery and fabric patterns were a way to express a country’s culture and its artistic trends. This is in a way what the transportation card seeks to do today: it’s a modern artifact that holds in itself a culture, history, while focusing also on communication.
