TEMPEST: SONG VISUALIZER

I’ve been sitting on this theme of complete consumption of the mind and body for a while, reading a lot of vampire stories and listening to artists like Ethel Cain. This project was a way to express how hunger to be chosen, desired, consumed, is something that always existed and always will exist within every moment of our lives as an almost animalistic feeling of complex biological, spiritual and carnal influences.

The methodology for this project started at a public archive, where I collected a lot of old photographs in black and white. Afterwards, I distorted them on Photoshop and composited them in a short video. The last part was the most essential: using touch designer, I experimented in distortions and blending of the video. it is a challenge to work with the program, but it was worth it in the end as it gave me this blend between the two contrasting visual components.
